For those who have not noticed, this blog (along with my Facebook page) has been rebranded. My blog used to be Far Above Rubies, and while that was a beautiful name for a beautiful blog, it drifted away with the previous blog author.
When I got locked out of the blog site (used for posts and edits), I figured that if I ever brought it back, I should rename everything. Thus, now my blog is called His Created Female.
My hope and aim here is to speak unashamedly about the truth from God's Word about "His created female". Why did He make her? What is her purpose, which He gave? Who is she to Him?
In addition to those questions, I want this blog to be a resource for YOU. One thing I've added to the site is a place where you can submit your questions about life, your questions from the Bible, or anything else you need to know. This will function much like the old "Dear Abby" column of the past. You can ask anything, and I (or a team I assemble) will decide whether to post an answer on the blog or to write you back directly. Don't worry--your identities and information will be kept private, but I do reserve the right to ask a qualified (male) pastor for help in answering your questions, when it is warranted.
Ladies, I just don't think that I need to answer every question, nor do I believe I should teach on every subject. SO, I will pull in as many others who ARE to do so, as often as I can. My personal conviction is that I ought to urge, encourage, and admonish younger women in the things from Titus 2:4-5. Those will be my focus here on the blog and Facebook page. And pray that I will be wise and also humble in the places and on the topics about which I need to remain silent, and let one to whom God has given teaching authority do the talking--or writing.
I hope you will subscribe, so you can get emailed blog posts and website updates, as well as invitations to Bible studies, prayer prompts, and more. I am here as a resource, to serve the Lord by serving you.
After you subscribe, go ahead and submit a question on the "Dear Melissa..." link at the top of the home page, or submit a website idea, spelling error, or any other suggestion in the Suggestion Box (found under "Connect").
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
--Melissa
